1933 R319 Goudey #220 Lefty Grove PSA EX-MT 6

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $600

Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA (submitted by REA). Popular #220 Lefty Grove from the classic 1933 Goudey set featuring the Philadelphia Athletics Hall of Famer in his signature pitching pose. Grove was a dominant pitcher throughout his career, particularly during the three-year stretch from 1929 to 1931 in which his Athletics won the league each year and the World Series twice. He finished with exactly 300 wins and is a 1947 inductee into Cooperstown. This card displays crisp colors, flawless registration, and is centered to the top. Four strong corners and a clean, boldly printed reverse. This card has been consigned by a pioneer collector who did most of his collecting during the 1960s and 1970s with a very keen focus on condition and eye-appeal. His complete set appears in this auction, organized into a number of different lots by theme and condition. A very attractive high-grade key card example that would be a worthy addition to any 1933 Goudey set or Hall of Fame collection.

Reserve $200. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $600
