1914 E145 Cracker Jack SGC-Graded Collection (25) Including Brown, Hooper, and Wheat

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $4,500

Collection of twenty-five different 1914 E145 Cracker Jack cards, each graded and encapsulated FAIR 20 by SGC (submitted by REA), highlighted by Hall of Famers Mordecai Brown, Harry Hooper, and Zach Wheat, as well as several Federal Leaguers and harder-to-find cards. The 1914 #144 series Cracker Jacks are far rarer than their 1915 counterparts, because the 1914 cards were not available by mail, and could only be obtained one card per package in boxes of Cracker Jacks. Because of their method of issue, 1914 Cracker Jacks are also almost always found with various condition problems including caramel staining. This collection consists of the following: #4 Doyle, 28 Barry, 32 Brown (HOF), 35 Hooper (HOF), 38 Dooin, 40 Austin, 44 Tesreau, 51 Rucker, 52 Wheat (HOF), 62 Cashion, 74 Owens, 89 Cheney, 91 Peckingpaugh, 96 Becker, 98 LaPorte, 101 Schulte, 106 Birmingham, 109 Blanding, 113 Suggs, 116 Zeider, 123 Sallee, 124 Moore, 125 Niehoff, 127 Schmidt, and 141 Barger. Extremely pleasing collection, with almost all of the cards presenting with bold colors and minimal caramel staining on the fronts. This is an exceptionally attractive and sizable collection of classic 1914 Cracker Jacks that would be worthy additions to any high-quality set. The equivalent SMR value in the assigned grades (calculated at the lower whole-grade level) is $1,815. Total: 25 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000++. SOLD FOR $4,500
