1914 E145 Cracker Jack SGC-Graded Collection (25) Including #1 Knabe

Starting Bid - $1,000, Sold For - $5,700

Collection of twenty-five different 1914 E145 Cracker Jack cards, each graded and encapsulated GOOD 30 (except for seven GOOD+ 35) by SGC (submitted by REA), highlighted by #1 Otto Knabe and stars Chick Gandil, Joe Wood, and Armando Marsans, as well as several Federal Leaguers and harder-to-find cards. The 1914 #144 series Cracker Jacks are far rarer than their 1915 counterparts, because the 1914 cards were not available by mail, and could only be obtained one card per package in boxes of Cracker Jacks. Because of their method of issue, 1914 Cracker Jacks are also almost always found with various condition problems including caramel staining. This collection consists of the following: #1 Knabe, 5 Miller (GOOD+ 35), 11 Stovall, 15 Russell, 16 Camnitz, 22 Wood, 25 Simon (GOOD+ 35), 39 Gandil, 49 Miller, 50 Hummel, 55 Hoblitzell, 63 Adams, 67 Crandall, 76 Hendrix (GOOD+ 35), 97 Benton (GOOD+ 35), 100 Seaton, 102 Fisher (GOOD+ 35), 104 Saier, 112 Sweeney, 120 Doolan, 121 Perdue, 129 Caldwell, 131 Baumgardner (GOOD+ 35), 134 Marsans (GOOD+ 35), and 139 Oakes. Extremely pleasing group, with almost all of the cards presenting with bold colors and minimal caramel staining. This is an exceptionally attractive and sizable collection of classic 1914 Cracker Jacks that would be worthy additions to any high-quality set. The equivalent SMR value in the assigned grades (factoring in the seven half-grades at the lower whole-grade level) is $3,340. Total: 25 cards. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000++. SOLD FOR $5,700
