1914 E145 Cracker Jack #66 Nap Lajoie

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,320

Graded VG 40 by SGC (submitted by REA). A very attractive midgrade example of key Hall of Famer Nap Lajoie (Cleveland Americans) from the 1914 Cracker Jack #144 series. Bright and crisp, with flawless color and near-perfect centering. Light corner wear, including small creases in the top and bottom right, account for the assigned grade. The card is free of any distracting caramel staining, with only a small spot on the bottom border on front and back, far less than is normally encountered on #144 series cards. The 1914 Cracker Jacks, of course, are far rarer to find in high grade than their 1915 counterparts, because the 1914 #144 series cards were only issued in boxes of Cracker Jack. This is an extremely attractive example of one of the key Hall of Famers from this classic set. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+. SOLD FOR $1,320
