1914 E145 Cracker Jack SGC VG 40 Collection (16)
Starting Bid - $1,000, Sold For - $2,700
Collection of sixteen different 1914 E145 Cracker Jack cards, each graded and encapsulated VG 40 (except for two VG+ 45) by SGC (submitted by REA), highlighted by several Federal Leaguers and harder-to-find cards. The 1914 #144 series Cracker Jacks are far rarer than their 1915 counterparts, because the 1914 cards were not available by mail, and could only be obtained one card per package in boxes of Cracker Jacks. Because of their method of issue, 1914 Cracker Jacks are also almost always found with various condition problems including caramel staining. This collection consists of the following: #8 Oldring, 21 Zimmerman, 24 Mullin, 42 Bridwell, 46 Groom, 47 Devore, 48 Lord, 53 Miller, 56 Milan, 58 Schang (VG+ 45), 59 Gessler, 105 Lavender, 107 Downey, 110 Bescher, 111 Callahan (VG+ 45), and 132 Nunamaker. All sixteen cards are bright and crisp, with minimal caramel staining (Milan and Miller have slightly more on front and back). This is an exceptionally attractive midgrade collection of 1914 Cracker Jacks. The equivalent SMR value in the assigned grades (factoring in the two half-grades at the lower whole-grade level) is $2,320. Total: 16 cards. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000++. SOLD FOR $2,700
