1912-1913 T215 Red Cross Tobacco (Type 2) Dick Hoblitzell SGC NM 84 - Highest Graded!
Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $2,280
Graded NM 84 by SGC (submitted by REA). This is the only example graded at this level with none higher! Extremely rare and ultra high-grade sample card of 1912-1913 T215 Red Cross Tobacco (Type 2), featuring Dick Hoblitzell of the Cincinnati Reds. T215 Red Cross is one of tobacco-card collecting's most overlooked issues. Very similar in design and borrowing images from the T206 set, T215 Red Cross cards are believed to have been issued exclusively in the Louisiana area. The cards measure 1-1/2 x 2-5/8 inches, which is the standard size for tobacco issues. The offered example is stunning in every way! It is bright, crisp, and clean, with bold colors, four sharp corners, and perfect centering. The brilliant Red Cross advertisement on the reverse is perfectly clean and centered. This is the highest grade ever assigned to a T215 Red Cross (all types) of any player! An extremely desirable world-class example from one of tobacco-card collecting's rarest sets. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+. SOLD FOR $2,280
