1933 R73 Goudey Indian Gum #53 Colonel Bowie PSA NM-MT+ 8.5 - 1 of 1 - Highest Graded!

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $720

Graded NM-MT+ 8.5 by PSA. This is the ONLY example graded at this level with none higher! Presented is an extremely attractive, crisp, ultra high-grade example of #53 Colonel Bowie from the 1933 R73 Goudey Indian Gum series. Goudey Indian Gum is one of the most popular and difficult to complete of all the 1930s gum-card issues. Advanced collectors are well aware that Indian Gum cards are far more difficult to collect in high grade than baseball cards of the era, in part because they are rarer. Goudey's 1933 R73 "Indian Gum" series is one of the most popular nonsport sets ever issued. Its outstanding color, detailed artwork, and popular subject matter, all contribute to making this set one of nonsport collecting's all-time classics. The offered card (as one would expect!) is incredibly bright, crisp, and clean, with brilliant colors, a bold image, and sharp corners. This outstanding card originates from a recently uncovered, fresh-to-the-hobby collection and was just recently graded by PSA. A superb example worthy of any world-class R73 complete set! Reserve $200. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $720
