1933 R73 Goudey Indian Gum PSA NM-MT 8 Collection (11)

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $4,800

Presented is an extremely attractive, crisp, high-grade collection of eleven cards from the 1933 R73 Goudey Indian Gum series, each professionally graded and encapsulated NM-MT 8 by PSA. This is an impressive group! Ten of the cards are the highest-graded examples! Goudey Indian Gum is one of the most popular and difficult to complete of all the 1930s gum-card issues. Advanced collectors are well aware that Indian Gum cards are far more difficult to collect in high grade than baseball cards of the era, in part because they are rarer. Goudey's 1933 R73 Indian Gum series is one of the most popular nonsport sets ever issued. Its outstanding color, detailed artwork, and popular subject matter, all contribute to making this set one of nonsport collecting's all-time classics. This lot consists of the following: #32 (1 of 5, highest graded), 35 (1 of 5, one higher), 59 Wild Bill (1 of 6, highest graded), 69 (1 of 3, highest graded), 76 Pony Express (1 of 4, highest graded), 86 (1 of 3, highest graded), 88 (1 of 3, highest graded), 91 (1 of 2, highest graded), 97 (1 of 3, highest graded), 100 (1 of 4, highest graded), and 134 (1 of 6, highest graded). Each card is bright, crisp, and clean, with brilliant colors, bold images, and sharp corners. These outstanding cards originate from a recently uncovered, fresh-to-the-hobby collection and all were just recently graded by PSA. The total SMR value in the assigned grades is $2,400. Total: 11 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000+. SOLD FOR $4,800
