1903 E107 Breisch-Williams Harry Davis
Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $540
E107 of first baseman Harry Davis of the Philadelphia Athletics. Davis was an outstanding slugger for Connie Mack's Philadelphia teams in the early twentieth century. In the A's 1911 World Series victory over the Giants, he and "Home Run" Baker each drove in five runs. Only Davis, Baker, Babe Ruth, and Ralph Kiner have led the Major Leagues in home runs four or more years in a row. Davis accomplished the feat 1904 through 1907. Graded POOR 10 by SGC due to a number of condition flaws, including yellow coloring in the background, this is a presentable and relatively affordable example from this extremely important and elusive set. Reserve $200. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $540
