Bob Elliott Single-Signed Ball

Official National League (Frick) ball signed in black fountain pen by Bob Elliot, who was one of the top players of his era and the National League MVP in 1947. A vintage black-ink notation on the signature page reads "Sept. 25 1946." Elliot, as a member of the Pittsburgh Pirates, enjoyed a banner day at the plate on that date, with his home run and four RBI helping to defeat the Chicago Cubs 6-5 in sixteen innings at Wrigley Field. The ball is moderately toned, with a few scattered areas of discoloration. In Very Good to Excellent condition overall. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA.
