Circa 1910 New York Giants Oversized Pennant

Oversized New York Giants pennant dating back to the era of Mathewson, McGraw, and McGinnity. This is one of the most attractive of all early Giants pennant. The graphics feature a large illustration of a generic batter in midswing, above and below which is lettered, respectively, "National" and "League B. B. C." The city affiliation, reading "New York," is displayed in fancy script lettering to the right. One of several truly great early pennants in this auction, all from the same advanced collection, each among the best pennants that we have ever offered. Ideal for display! The purple-felt pennant (35 inches), which is complete with tassels, remains in Excellent to Mint condition, and is one of the finer examples of this particular design we have seen. Reserve $300.
