Helmar T206 Federal League Collection (33) with Brown (2), Tinker (2), and Kauff
Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $420
Collection of thirty-three different cards, similar in design to the popular T206 White-Border tobacco cards, issued by the Helmar Brewing Company. Players featured are those from the short-lived Federal League (1914-1915). Please note that while a number of players are represented more than once, the poses are all different, therefore no duplicates are included here. Various advertising designs adorn the reverse of each card. In our listing, we have listed the Federal League cards with the team's home city affiliation followed by the player's name. 1914-15 Federal League - Baltimore: F.E. Smith. Brooklyn: G. Anderson, H. Bay, Bluejacket, Bradley, Kauff, Magee, Mordecai "Three Finger" Brown, D. Murphy, Evans, Falkenberg, Griggs, Halt, Hofman, Kane, Konetchy, G. Land, L. Magee, Seaton, H. Smith. Buffalo: E.Moore, F. Smith (2), Schafly. Chicago: Mordecai "Three Finger" Brown, Tinker (2). Indianapolis: Kaiserling, Kauff, Textor. Newark: Seaton. Pittsburg: Walker, St. Louis: Bridwell. The production number for each of the thirty-three "T206" cards offered here was limited to just twenty-five total, with no more than six produced per calendar year. As a point of reference, it should be noted that in sirraffles' most recent individual eBay auctions for the thirty-three cards in this collection, the cumulative sale total was in excess of $2,000. Like all of the Helmar issues, these cards were intentionally produced with a distressed look, with most having rounded corners and rubbed edges. Near Mint condition overall. Total: 33 cards
