1910 PC796 Sepia Postcards Honus Wagner - Highest Graded!

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $3,600

Graded EX+ 70 by SGC (submitted by REA). This is the ONLY example graded at this level with none higher! Outstanding example of one of the key cards from this rare and popular 25-card sepia-toned postcard set, featuring the legendary Hall of Famer Honus Wagner. The manufacturer of this sepia-toned postcard series is unknown. The PC796 set is one of the most striking sets of the era. This is a magnificent example of one of the most impressive of all Wagner cards. Bright and crisp, both front and back, with even corner wear (slightly more in the upper right). The card has never been mailed and has no writing on its traditional postcard reverse. Two small stains are present on the otherwise clean reverse (mentioned strictly for the sake of accuracy). This is an exceptionally attractive card of Honus Wagner from one of the most distinctive and popular of all postcard issues, and would be a significant addition to any serious Hall of Fame or prewar-card collection. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000+. SOLD FOR $3,600
