1911 D359 Williams Baking Paddy Livingston

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $1,080

Graded EX 60 by SGC (submitted by REA). Exceptional example of Paddy Livingston from the extremely rare D359 Williams Baking series. This card features a classic portrait image with the "1910 World's Champions" overprint. D359s are among the rarest of all 1910-era issues. Produced to commemorate the Athletics’ 1910 Championship season, the set exclusively features Athletics, including manager Connie Mack. The very same images were used for similar sets issued by Rochester Baking and T208 Cullivan's Fireside Tobacco. The offered card is bright and crisp, with centering to the top and light touches of wear to the corners. The Williams Baking advertisement on the back is boldly printed and clean. An outstanding type-card from this extremely rare bakery-card issue!
