Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $2,400

Collection of twenty different Hall of Famers from the T206 White Borders series, each graded and encapsulated by PSA (nine) or SGC (eleven). All have Piedmont or Sweet Caporal advertising backs. Hall of Famers are naturally a very popular subset of T206. This striking and substantial collection is a particularly desirable assemblage representing approximately one quarter of all the Hall of Fame cards within the set! SGC Grading Composite: One VG/EX 50: Wallace. Ten VG 40: Bender/portrait (PSA VG 3), Bresnahan/with bat (PSA VG 3), Clarke/holding bat, J. Collins (PSA VG 3), Evers/with bat, Chicago on shirt (PSA VG 3), Evers/with bat, Cubs on shirt (PSA VG 3), Flick (PSA VG 3), Griffith/portrait (PSA VG 3), Huggins/hands at mouth, and Keeler/with bat. Three GOOD+ 35: Chance/portrait, red (PSA VG+ 3.5), Duffy (PSA VG+ 3.5), and McGraw/finger in air. One GOOD+ 35: Bender/pitching, trees. Four GOOD 30: Bender/pitching, no trees, Kelley, Lajoie/portrait, and McGraw/portrait, no cap. One Authentic: Chance/portrait, yellow. Each of these cards is worthy of inclusion in any classic Hall of Fame card collection or quality T206 collection or set. This is an outstanding collection of twenty attractive yet relatively affordable T206 Hall of Famers in very desirable grades. The equivalent SMR value in the assigned grades (factoring in the four half grades at the lower whole-grade level and excluding the one Authentic) is $2,345. Total: 20 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000+. SOLD FOR $2,400
