1909-1911 T206 White Border Vic Willis with Bat - Drum Back - Highest Graded!

Starting Bid - $1,000, Sold For - $15,600

Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. Highest-graded example! Extremely attractive example of Hall of Fame pitcher Vic Willis (with bat) from the T206 White Border series featuring a Drum advertising reverse. According to T206Resource.com, Drum backs are the fifth most difficult to find advertising reverse within the T206 set (out of thirty-nine). All Drum backs are very rare, but an example featuring a Hall of Famer is especially notable. The card is bright and crisp, both front and back, with no creases, bold color, and light wear on the corners. The important Drum advertisement on the reverse is flawless and centered to the left. This is a very desirable Hall of Fame example (one of the few among the small number of subjects ever issued with this back) featuring the extremely rare Drum advertising back. Reserve $1,000. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $15,600
