1909-1911 T206 White Border Jimmy Slagle Blank Back Plus SGC-Graded Tolstoi Back

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $1,200

Offered is an outstanding pair of Jimmy Slagle (Baltimore) cards from the legendary T206 series: a superb blank-back example, accompanied by a desirable Tolstoi advertising back example graded VG 40 by SGC. Blank backs are very scarce, and according to T206Resource.com, they currently rank as the tenth most difficult back variety (out of thirty-nine). Encapsulated as "Authentic" by SGC because all blank backs are hand-cut, the card presents with bold colors and a crisp image. It displays irregular cuts on both side borders, and the blank reverse is clean, with light wrinkling and scattered foxing. The blank back is very unusual (and in our experience extremely rare) printing anomaly that is likely to be of great interest to collectors of all the various nuances of the legendary T206 set. Total: 2 cards. Reserve $200. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $1,200
