1909-1911 T206 White Border Sid Smith Southern Leaguer Blank Back

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $1,560

Offered is an unusual blank-backed example of Southern Leaguer Sid Smith (Atlanta) from the legendary T206 series. Blank backs are very scarce, and according to T206Resource.com, they currently rank as the tenth most difficult back variety (out of thirty-nine). This is particularly attractive example in far better condition than is normally encountered. The card displays bold colors, flawless registration, and even wear to the corners. Centered to the right, with a tiny wrinkle (most visible from the back) on the left edge. Entirely clean reverse. Encapsulated as "Authentic" by SGC because all blank backs are hand-cut. This is a very unusual (and in our experience extremely rare) printing anomaly that is likely to be of great interest to collectors of all the various nuances of the legendary T206 set. Reserve $200. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $1,560
