1911 T5 Pinkerton Cabinet #153 Hughie Jennings
Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $720
Tremendous example of Detroit Tigers Hall of Famer Hughie Jennings in his trademark pose from the T5 Pinkerton cabinet-card set. T5s are one of the rarest sets from the 1910-era, and have always been highly prized by serious collectors. This is a striking and impressive card of Jennings. Bright, fresh, and impeccably clean, both front and back. The photograph of Jennings is mounted along the top edge as issued. T5 Pinkertons are found with two different mount styles: a thick cabinet-card mount with a surrounding embossed decorative imprint and a thin paper mount. The offered example is on the more desirable higher-quality thick mount. Excellent to Mint condition. This is an ideal T5 Pinkerton cabinet card that would be a significant addition to any Hall of Fame or prewar-card collection. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $720
