Collection of sixty-two different T206 White Border tobacco cards, each graded and encapsulated EX 60 by SGC (submitted by REA). All have Piedmont (forty-nine) or Sweet Caporal (thirteen) advertising backs. This is part of a larger collection of T206 cards, which we have broken down into several smaller lots organized by condition. This lot consists of the following: Anderson, Ball/New York, Bell/hands above head, Birmingham, Bransfield, Camnitz/arms folded, Chappelle, Clymer, Covaleski, Cravath, Cree, Dineen, Donlin/seated, Donohue, Doolan/batting, Doyle/N.Y. hands above head, Joe Dunn, Ferguson, Fletcher, Fromme, Goode, B. Graham, Groom, Hahn, Hannifan, D. Howard, Howell/hand at waist, Hunter, Isbell, F. Jones/hands at hips, Kisinger, Kleinow/New York with bat, Knight/with bat, Konetchy/glove above head, Krause/pitching, Lake/New York, Lake/St. Louis no ball in hand, Leach/bending over, Leifield/batting, Leifield/pitching, Lindaman, Livingstone, McAleese, McLean, McQuillan/ball in hand, Moriarty, Mowrey, Niles, O’Leary/hands on knees, Phelps, Puttman, Raymond, Rhoades, Schaefer/Washington, Seymour/batting, Sheckard/no glove showing, Shipke, Slagle, H. Smith, Thomas, Warhop, and Zimmermann. This is a very impressive group that could serve as a substantial foundation for a high-quality T206 collection, or make a significant contribution to the completion of an extremely high-quality set. The fact that all are in the identical grade, a grade which many believe offers one of the very best values for cards from the classic T206 series, makes this is a particularly noteworthy collection. This is an unusually large collection of quality T206 cards in the same grade to be offered as a collection. The equivalent SMR value in the assigned grades is $8,605. Total: 62 cards. Reserve $2,500. Estimate $5,000+. SOLD FOR $6,600
