1909-1911 T206 White Border SGC EX 60 Collection (30) - All Portraits!

Starting Bid - $1,000, Sold For - $3,000

Collection of thirty different T206 White Border tobacco cards, each graded and encapsulated EX 60 by SGC (submitted by REA) and comprised exclusively of portraits. Portraits are a very distinctive and popular subset of T206, making this collection a particularly striking assemblage of high-grade T206 cards. All have Piedmont (twenty-seven) or Sweet Caporal (three) advertising backs. This is part of a larger collection of T206 cards, which we have broken down into several smaller lots organized by condition. This lot consists of the following: Arndt, Atz, Batch (PSA EX 5), Barger, J. Barry, Carr, Crandall/portrait, no cap, Crandall/portrait, with cap, Devlin, Dougherty/portrait, Dygert, Fiene/portrait, H. Hinchman, D. Jones, Killian/portrait, Malarkey, McGlynn, H. Moran, Mullen, Murray/portrait, Phelan, Randall, Rhodes, Rossman, Schlafly, Schlei/portrait, Stone, Sullivan, Unglaub, and Wright. This is a very impressive group that would make a significant contribution to the completion of an extremely high-quality set. The fact that all are in the identical grade, a grade which many believe offers one of the very best values for cards from the classic T206 series, in addition to all being portraits, makes this is a particularly noteworthy collection. The equivalent SMR value in the assigned grades is $3,975. Total: 30 cards. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000++. SOLD FOR $3,000
