1909-1911 T206 White Border SGC VG/EX 50 Collection (25)

Starting Bid - $400, Sold For - $1,440

Collection of twenty-five different T206 White Border tobacco cards, each graded and encapsulated VG/EX 50 by SGC (submitted by REA). All have Piedmont (twenty) or Sweet Caporal (five) advertising backs. This is part of a larger collection of T206 cards, which we have broken down into several smaller lots organized by condition. This lot consists of the following: Blackburne, Bridwell/portrait, no cap, G. Brown/Chicago, Butler, Bush, Byrne, Camnitz/arm at side, Congalton, Donovan/portait, Donovan/throwing, Doolan/fielding, Downs, Hallman, D. Hoffman, LaPorte, Lundgren/Kansas City, Manning/batting, M. Mitchell, Ritchey, Ritter, Scott, Starr, Steinfeldt/portrait, Wilson, and Wiltse/pitching. This is a very impressive group that would make a significant contribution to the completion of an extremely high quality set. The fact that all are in the identical grade, a grade which many believe offers one of the very best values for cards from the classic T206 series, makes this is a particularly noteworthy collection. The equivalent SMR value in the assigned grades is $2,055. Total: 25 cards. Reserve $400. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $1,440
