1952 Topps High-Number Collection (36) Including Robinson and Durocher
Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $3,900
An outstanding collection of thirty-four different high-numbers (plus two duplicates) from the rare high-number series of the 1952 Topps set, highlighted by Jackie Robinson and Leo Durocher. For even the most devoted collectors, the rare high-number cards, which can be difficult to obtain in any condition, are natural stumbling blocks towards completion of the classic 1952 Topps set. Overall condition is eight Vg-Ex, seventeen Vg, and eleven Pr to Gd. We have submitted three cards to be graded and encapsulated by SGC. This lot consists of the following: #312 Robinson (HOF, SGC POOR 10), 313 Thomson (VG+ 45), 315 Durocher (HOF, FAIR 20), 318, 321, 322, 325, 327, 328, 331, 332, 336, 338, 340, 342, 346, 349, 352, 353, 357, two 358, 360, 363, 365, 370, 376, 377, 379, 383, 386, 394 Herman (HOF), 395, two 399, and 405. This collection represents approximately one third of the rare high-numbers (#311-407) that make completing this legendary set so challenging. An attractive grouping, with several notable highlights, which would make a significant addition to any 1952 Topps set in the process of being assembled. Total: 36 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000++. SOLD FOR $3,900
