1908 E102 Anonymous "Set of 25" Joe Tinker SGC NM 84 - Highest Graded!

Starting Bid - $1,000, Sold For - $2,040

Graded NM 84 by SGC. This is the ONLY example graded at this level with none higher! Exceptional ultra high-grade example of Chicago Cubs Hall of Famer Joe Tinker from the scarce E102 caramel-card set. The manufacturer of E102 is unknown. The fronts are identical in design to their E101 counterparts and can most easily be distinguished by the attractive black-printed checklist of the 25-card complete set on the reverse of each card. Evers is one of ten Hall of Famers in the set. Bright, crisp, and clean, with brilliant colors, excellent centering, and four strong corners. Clean and boldly printed reverse. A grade of NM 84 is remarkable for the E102 issue; only five other cards (of any player) have ever been graded at this level with none higher! This very strong sample from the E102 series of Joe Tinker would make an outstanding addition to any Hall of Fame, "E" card, or prewar-card collection. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000+. SOLD FOR $2,040
