1919 T213 Coupon Cigarettes Miller Huggins Portrait (Type 3) SGC EX/NM 80 - Highest Graded!

Starting Bid - $400, Sold For - $840

Graded EX/NM 80 by SGC. This is the ONLY example graded at this level with none higher! Extremely high grade T213 (Type 3) Coupon Cigarette card of Hall of Famer Miller Huggins (portrait) from this elusive and extremely rare tobacco set. T213 Coupon Cigarettes are one of the rarest, most interesting, and most overlooked of all tobacco-card issues. Similar in design to and borrowing the same images of T206, T213 (Type 3) was issued exclusively in the Louisiana area, and was the very last of the traditional tobacco-card sets. The set was issued in 1919. This magnificent example has an appearance that is even stronger than its assigned grade, but is kept from a higher grade due to the top-to-bottom centering. This is a gorgeous T213 (Type 3) example. It is bright and clean, with flawless registration. The corners are square with only the lightest hint of wear. The back is clean with very bold print. T213 (Type 3) Coupons are far rarer than their T206 counterparts. This is an exceptional example of one of Huggins' rarest and most interesting tobacco cards, which would be a worthy addition to any Hall of Fame, sample, or rare vintage baseball-card collection. Reserve $400. Estimate $800+. SOLD FOR $840
