1914 E145 Cracker Jack #17 Roger Bresnahan

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $480

Graded GOOD+ 2.5 by PSA. A very attractive example of key Hall of Famer Roger Bresnahan from the 1914 Cracker Jack #144 series. Card #17 Bresnahan was issued in two ways: with and without the card number on the reverse. The offered example has a number on the back (the rarer "No Number on Back" variety is also offered in this auction). The card is well centered, with bold color and a strong image. Four strong corners and scattered caramel staining on front and back. This is, of course, extremely common on 1914 series cards because of their method of issue in boxes of Cracker Jack (as opposed to the 1915 series, which was available as a complete set by mail order). This is a very striking example of Roger Bresnahan from the classic 1914 Cracker Jack set. Reserve $300. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $480
