1950s to 1970s Bowman, Philadelphia, and Topps Football Card Collection (1,479 cards) Including 219 Hall of Famers

Presented is an extremely substantial collection of 1,479 football cards from sixteen different sets, dating from 1954 to 1972, highlighted by an impressive 219 Hall of Famers, including Johnny Unitas, Bart Starr, Paul Hornung, and Joe Namath. This collection consists of the following: 1) 1954 Bowman (11 cards): Two cards grade Nr/Mt+, one Ex-Mt, six Ex, one Vg-Ex, and one with a slight trim. Keys: #4 Atkins (80/20 T/B, otherwise Ex-Mt), 6 Perry (Ex+), 52 Groza (Ex), 60 Trippi (slight trim, otherwise Nr/Mt-Mt+), and 113 Conerly (Nr/Mt+). 2) 1959 Topps (6 cards): Three cards grade Nr/Mt, two Ex-Mt, and one Ex. 3) 1960 Topps (11 cards): Four cards grade Ex-Mt, six Ex, and one Vg-Ex. 4) 1961 Topps (74 cards): 54% Nr/Mt (including a few higher), 46% Ex to Ex-Mt (including a few lower). Keys: #64 Nomellini (Nr/Mt), 95 Jurgenson (75/25 T/B, otherwise Nr/Mt-Mt), 145 Blanda (Ex+), 168 Mix (Nr/Mt-Mt), and 166 Kemp (trimmed, otherwise Ex-Mt). 5) 1961 Fleer (145 cards): 16% Nr/Mt or better, 76% Ex to Ex-Mt (mostly Ex), and 8% lower. Keys: #31 Lamonica RC (Ex+) and 155 Alworth (Ex-Mt+). 8) 1965 Topps (104 cards): 84% Ex to Ex-Mt (including a few higher) and 16% Vg to Vg-Ex (including a couple lower and a couple with slight trims). Keys: #35 Kemp (Ex), 69 Blanda (Ex), and 176 Checklist (unmarked, Vg-Ex+). 9) 1966 Philadelphia (142 cards): 12% Nr/Mt, 82% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 6% lower. Keys: #32 Ditka (Ex-Mt), two 61 Meredith (both Ex), 88 Starr (Nr/Mt), 96 Jones (Ex), and 102 Olsen (Ex). 10) 1967 Philadelphia (215 cards): 32% Nr/Mt (including a few higher), 68% Ex to Ex-Mt (including a couple lower and one slight trim). Keys: #23 Unitas (Ex-Mt+), 82 Starr (Ex-Mt), and 106 Tarkenton (Ex). 11) 1967 Topps (83 cards): 9% Nr/Mt, 81% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 10% lower. 12) 1968 Topps (131 cards): 28% Nr/Mt (including a few better) and 72% Ex to Ex-Mt (including a few lower). Key: #25 Unitas (Ex+). 14) 1970 Topps (24 cards): 42% Nr/Mt or better, 29% Ex-Mt, and 29% Ex. 15) 1970 Topps Super Glossy (23 cards): 44% Nr/Mt or better, 30% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 26% lower (mostly due to centering). 16) 1972 Topps (362 cards includes twenty-six 3rd series high numbers): 17% Nr/Mt (including a few higher), 79% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 4% lower. This assemblage presents a fascinating collecting value as it includes so many highlights, yet is far more affordable compared to a higher-grade collection boasting even a small percentage of the hundreds of Hall of Famers and key cards included here.
