Starting Bid - $2,000, Sold For - $13,200
Extraordinary complete master set of Topps Teams consisting of all eighteen different cards from the first year of Topps baseball cards. This collection features a complete set of nine undated team-card variations as well as a complete set of nine dated team-card variations. These team cards were issued at the same time as the stand-up Connie Mack's All-Stars and Current All-Stars, as well as the 1951 Topps Red and Blue back sets. All eighteen cards are graded and encapsulated by PSA. This exceptional complete master set currently ranks first on the PSA Set Registry with an extremely impressive 5.98 overall GPA. All but two cards grade EX or better, with several highlights. Due to rarity and significance, these cards will be a welcome and needed addition to many advanced collections.

A very significant and scarce card issue, rarely found in near-complete or complete master-set form, which has been very much overlooked by collectors in recent years, perhaps because of its unusual dimensions and the fact that examples in extremely high grade are so rare. This is only the second complete master set of this extremely important early Topps issue that we have ever offered, and it is by far the finest that we have ever seen! SMR values do not exist for the 1951 Topps Teams set, but auction records for comparable collections total into the thousands of dollars. An exceptional (and virtually never seen) complete master set of 1951 Topps Team cards that would be a significant addition to any advanced collection. Total: 18 cards. Reserve $2,000. Estimate $4,000+. SOLD FOR $13,200
