1971 to 1979 Topps Baseball Uncut Sheet Collection (7)

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,440

Collection of seven uncut sheets (five full 132-card sheets and two partial sheets) from Topps baseball sets spanning the years 1971 to 1979. This collection consists of the following: 1) 1971 Topps 66-card partial uncut first-series sheet. Original 1971 Topps uncut final production sheet of 66 cards, with printed reverses. All cards on this sheet are from the first series (#1-132). This partial sheet represents half of a complete 132-card sheet, on which cards would normally be double-printed. Hall of Famers and stars include Reggie Jackson, Phil Niekro, Pete Rose, Bert Blyleven (rookie), Bill Mazeroski, and Thurman Munson. Technically in Fair condition due to several creases affecting some of the interior cards and a one-inch tear on the top edge. Dimensions: 21.25 x 28.25 inches. 2) 1972 Topps 88-card partial uncut fourth-series sheet. Original 1972 Topps uncut final production sheet of 88 cards, with printed reverses. All cards on this sheet are from the fourth series (#395-525). Hall of Famers and stars include two Johnny Bench, Reggie Jackson, Bert Blyleven, two Billy Williams, Joe Torre, and Bob Lemon. Technically in Fair condition due to several creases affecting some of the interior cards, five nail holes on the bottom border, and two moisture stains. Dimensions: 28.25 x 28.5 inches. 3) 1974 Topps 132-card uncut sheet. Arranged in twelve rows of eleven cards, highlighted by Hall of Famers Dave Winfield (rookie) and Rich Gossage, as well as six '73 World Series and Playoffs cards, including Reggie Jackson. Technically in Good condition due to several creases affecting some of the interior cards including Winfield (rookie) and a small piece missing on the bottom edge. Dimensions: 28.25 x 43 inches. 4) 1976 Topps 132-card uncut sheet. Arranged in twelve rows of eleven cards, highlighted by Hall of Famers Johnny Bench, Steve Carlton, Joe Morgan, Tony Perez, Jim Rice, Nolan Ryan, Willie Stargell, and Robin Yount., as well as twenty-two triple-printed Traded cards. Technically in Good condition due to the colors faded on the left half of the sheet (most likely happened during the printing process at the factory). Dimensions: 28.25 x 43 inches. 5) 1979 Topps 132-card sheet. Featuring 121 different cards and a single double-printed row. Highlighted by the rookie card of Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith along the left edge (light wrinkle). Technically in Vg condition due to a few light wrinkles affecting the interior cards. Dimensions: 28.25 x 43 inches. 6) 1979 Topps 132-card sheet. Featuring 121 different cards and a single double-printed row. Highlighted by Hall of Famers Nolan Ryan and Willie McCovey. Technically in Fair condition due to several creases affecting some of the interior cards, tack holes in the corners, a one-inch tear repaired with tape on the top edge, and two small tears in the center. Dimensions: 28.25 x 43 inches. 7) 1979 Topps 132-card sheet. Featuring 121 different cards and a single double-printed row. There are no Hall of Famers on this sheet, but it does include Jack Morris and Lance Parrish. Technically in Vg condition due to a few light wrinkles affecting the interior cards. Dimensions: 28.25 x 43 inches. While the sheets are in overall modest condition, almost all of them present with bold colors and would be ideal candidates for framing. Seven relatively affordable uncut sheets from these classic 1970s Topps issues, highlighted by several key Hall of Famers. Total: 7 sheets.
