1955 Topps #123 Sandy Koufax Rookie PSA NM 7

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $4,200

Graded NM 7 by PSA. Very attractive high-grade example of Sandy Koufax's rookie card. The 1955 Topps Koufax rookie (#123) is the second most valuable card in that year's set, only surpassed by Roberto Clemente's rookie card in the high-number series. Bright, crisp, and clean, with four sharp corners showing just the slightest hint of wear, perfect registration, and centered slightly to the bottom right. The few extremely light printing specs in the yellow background, which are typical of this card, are mentioned strictly for the sake of accuracy. This is a perfect example of an extremely noteworthy modern classic that with patience is possible to find in extremely high grade without spending a fortune. Sandy Koufax's rookie card will always be one of the most famous and popular cards of the 1950s. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $4,200
