Presented are two complete sets of R173 "The World in Arms" cards featuring some of the finest artwork of any Gum, Inc., production. Created in the same era as the gruesome "Horrors of War" issue, the R173 "World in Arms" series focuses on the weapons used by countries involved in the then-current war efforts. The set is organized into six separate series, each with a different theme relating to the arms of the world: "Airplanes," "Ships," "Iron Cavalry," "Field Artillery," "Fortifications," and "Miscellaneous." Condition of the offered sets is 29% Ex, 31% Vg-Ex, and 40% lesser (averaging Gd). This is an attractive pair of complete sets of this popular 1930s gum issue. Total: 2 sets, 96 cards. Reserve $200.
