Rare Ted Williams (Full Name) Signed Limited-Edition Large-Format Photos and Print (3)

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,200

This pair of large-format limited-edition Ted Williams autographed photos is notable because each bears a complete full-name Williams signature ("Theodore Samuel Williams") scripted in blue Sharpie together with a special notation that commemorates his historic 1941 season ("1941 - .406"). One photo captures a game-action scene of Williams at the plate (signature grades "10") and is hand-numbered "3/9" in the lower right corner (Ex-Mt).. The second captures Williams standing in the dugout (signature grades "9") and is hand-numbered "4/9" in the lower right corner (Ex, with some minor rippling and light creasing along the left border). Also included is a Ted Williams lithograph, created by artist Lewis Watkins and printed on a foam-core board (17 x 22.5 inches), that has been specially inscribed by Williams in black Sharpie (grading "10"): "America's Game/Baseball/Ted Williams." Also signed by the artist in pencil in the lower right. This is an artist's proof and is duly noted as such by the handwritten "AP" in the lower left corner. The lithograph was once framed and the outline of the matting is still visible along the border areas; otherwise it is in Excellent to Mint condition. Each piece is accompanied by an individual LOA from Pro Sports Services that has been laminated together with an individual COA from Ted Williams Family Enterprises, Ltd. Total: 3 items (2 photos and a lithograph). LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $300. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $1,200
