Joe DiMaggio Signed Photo Collection (19)

Collection of nineteen Joe DiMaggio signed photos and art prints. All of the autographs in this collection were personally obtained by our consignor while attending various signing shows and hobby conventions in the 1980s! Unless otherwise noted, each item is in Near Mint condition and all of the signatures have been scripted in blue Sharpie (grading "10"). 1-14) Fourteen large-format 11 x 14-inch photos. Seven of the photos are sepia images, with three capturing DiMaggio posing on the steps of the dugout and four picturing him in the batting cage during practice. The other seven prints are black and white and feature a montage of five different DiMaggio photos.15-16) Two 8 x 10-inch photos (one sepia, and one black and white), each picturing DiMaggio in a different pose. 17) Limited-edition art print (11 x 14 inches), titled DiMaggio - A Legend, by James Amore. Signed by DiMaggio in black Sharpie. Also signed by Amore in pencil in the lower right. Hand-numbered "498/500." The print has been matted (14 x 18 inches) by means of adhesive tape on the reverse; otherwise in Near Mint condition. 18) Limited-edition art print (9.5 x 9 inches) by Mike Schacht. Signed by DiMaggio in blue ink along the base. Also signed and hand-numbered ("8/90") in pencil by Schacht on the reverse. This is one of an issued four-piece suite of art prints capturing DiMaggio in different stages at bat. The offered print is the first in the series and pictures DiMaggio ready at the plate awaiting the pitch. There are two small pieces of mounting tape along the top of the reverse and a tiny crease in the lower left corner. Ex-Mt. 19) Vintage magazine page (9 x 11.5 inches) featuring DiMaggio in an advertisement for Camel cigarettes. The page, which bears a 1938 copyright date, has been matted (10.5 x 15.25 inches) by means of tape along the reverse; otherwise Ex-Mt. Total: 19 signed pieces. LOA from James Spence/JSA.
