Circa 1960s Frankie Frisch Single-Signed Ball
Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $960
"Big League" ball (no manufacturer listed) inscribed on a side panel by Hall of Fame second baseman Frankie Frisch: "To John/Good Luck/'The old Flash'/Frank Frisch." Both the text and signature have been scripted in blue ink and grade "8." The "John" to whom this ball is inscribed is none other than our consignor, a longtime autograph collector who personally obtained it many decades ago! It has remained in his sole possession since that time. The ball features an illustration of a "Clark Bar" on the label, and was a promotional giveaway by the candy company. Frisch was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1947 and died in 1973 at the age of seventy-five. The ball displays a few small areas of light soiling and age toning. In Excellent condition overall. LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $960
