1952 Brooklyn Dodgers National League Champions Team-Signed Ball with Robinson and Campanella
Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,560
Official National League (Giles) ball signed in blue ink by the following twenty-nine members of the 1952 National League Champion Brooklyn Dodgers: Robinson, Campanella, Reese, D. Williams, Snider, Hodges, Dressen (Mgr., sweet spot), Rutherford (sweet spot), Cox, Black, Branca, Labine, Walker, Erskine, Furillo, Roe, Loes, Bridges, Morgan, Podbielan, Pfister (coach), Schmitz, Van Cuyk, Shuba, Wade, King, Pafko, Abrams, and Haugstad. Signatures range from "4" to "8," averaging "6/7." This is a remarkably complete ball, featuring all of the starting players and key reserves, and one that is especially notable for the absence of any "clubhouse" signatures, which are so prevalent on 1950s-era Dodgers team-signed balls. The ball is moderately toned and displays a few small abrasions. In Very Good condition overall. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $300. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $1,560
