1952 National League All-Star Team-Signed Ball with Robinson and Campanella

Official National League (Giles) ball signed in blue ink by the following twenty-five members of the 1952 National League All-Star team: Atwell, Campanella, Dark, Durocher (Mgr., sweet spot), Fitzsimmons (coach), Furillo, Hamner, Hatton, Hearn, Hodges, Irvin, Kiner, Maglie, Meyer, Musial, Roberts, Robinson, Rush, Sauer, Schoendienst, Snider, Spahn, Staley, Stanky, and Thomson. The vintage blue-ink notation “All Star Game 52’” appears on the sweet spot. Signatures range from "6" to "10," averaging "8/9." The ball displays very light overall toning and is otherwise in Near Mint condition. This ball originates from the personal collection of Bob Bauman, who was a longtime Major League trainer with both the St. Louis Browns (1937-1953) and St. Louis Cardinals (1954-1988). The ball, along with eighty-three other team balls from Bauman's collection, was originally consigned by the Bauman family to REA's May 2010 auction, where it was offered as part of a larger lot.
