Babe Ruth Single-Signed Ball - PSA/DNA

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $7,800

Official National League (Frick) ball signed by Babe Ruth in black ink across the sweet spot. Graded VG+ 3.5 by PSA/DNA (autograph grade is a 4 and ball grade is a 3, resulting in an overall grade of 3.5). The ball is heavily soiled, with a few abrasions (it appears to have been played with), but the manufacturer's label remains legible enough to at least identify it with certainty as an Official National League (Frick) ball. Despite being on the lower end of the grading spectrum, Ruth's signature is clearly legible and the ball presents exceptionally well. This is an outstanding low- to-mid grade example of one the hobby's most iconic pieces: a Babe Ruth single-signed ball. The ball remains housed in its original PSA/DNA holder (seal broken). Full LOA from PSA/DNA and LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $500. Estimate $2,000+. SOLD FOR $7,800
