1975 Topps Baseball Unopened Wax Box (36 Packs)

Starting Bid - $2,500, Sold For - $11,400

Addendum: The back side panel of the box displays a tear on either side of the picture of the young boy. It is mitigated by the tight shrink wrap applied by BBCE.

Extremely rare original unopened 36-count wax box of 1975 Topps baseball. The box contains thirty-six wax packs, with each pack containing ten cards, for a total of 360 cards. The 1975 Topps set includes the rookie cards of Hall of Famers George Brett, Robin Yount, and Gary Carter, and many other stars, including Mike Schmidt, Hank Aaron, Nolan Ryan, and Reggie Jackson. All the other stars of the day are also included. While it is impossible to provide guarantees with reference to grading of unopened material, there is, of course, the very real possibility that within this box are Mint or Gem Mint examples of these cards and others. This box comes shrink-wrapped by Baseball Card Exchange (owned by Steve Hart, the foremost expert on unopened material). The box displays beautifully, appearing almost exactly as it did on the store shelves forty years ago. This is an incredible and extremely rare unopened wax box from this very popular set. Total: 36 packs. Reserve $2,500. Estimate $5,000+.
