Two 1979 Topps Uncut Sheets Including Ozzie Smith Rookies

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $420

Pair of identical 1979 Topps uncut production sheets, with 132 cards on each sheet, complete with printed reverses, loaded with Hall of Famers and stars, including Reggie Jackson, Johnny Bench, and the rookie card of Ozzie Smith, the key card to the set. These are full 132-card production sheets, each measuring approximately 28-3/8 x 43 inches, arranged in twelve rows of eleven cards each. One row is double-printed and includes Bench, Jackson, and Morgan. Each sheet has been stored rolled. One sheet presents as Near Mint, but displays several minor imperfections, including light creasing affecting some of the interior cards, including Smith RC) and wear along the edges and at the corners. The other sheet presents as Excellent, but displays heavier creasing in the bottom two rows and on some of the interior cards, as well as minor wear along the edges, including a two-inch tear on the right edge. Despite these flaws, all of which are common when dealing with these large uncut sheets, the sheets are ideal candidates for framing and display, which would mitigate the condition issues and create an impressive visual. Two relatively affordable uncut sheets from this classic 1970s Topps issue, highlighted by several key Hall of Famers, including the rookie card of Ozzie Smith. Total: 2 sheets. Reserve $200. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $420
