1963 Topps #537 Pete Rose Rookie
Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,440
Graded NM-MT 8 (OC) by PSA. Extremely high-grade example of 1963 Topps Pete Rose rookie card, one of baseball-card collecting's modern classics. This card is particularly difficult to find in high grade due to the flush-to-the-border design which makes the top edges and corners so susceptible to wear. The colors, corners, and print quality of this example are flawless. The centering, which is approximately 70/30 L/R, is the only noticeable flaw and is responsible for the qualifier. We believe if submitted with a request for no qualifiers, this card would receive a grade of EX-MT+ 6.5 or NM 7. This is a very attractive high-grade example of the key card to the 1963 Topps set. The SMR value is $675 for an EX-MT 6 and $1,350 for a NM 7. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $1,440
