1952 Topps #312 Jackie Robinson

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $960

Graded VG/EX 50 by SGC. Extremely attractive card of Brooklyn Dodgers Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson from the legendary 1952 Topps issue. In addition to being one of the key cards to this classic set, and one of the most famous of all postwar cards, Robinson's 1952 Topps card is part of the rare high-number series (although his card was double-printed and is therefore slightly more available than others from the same series). This is a particularly attractive mid-grade example! Bright, crisp, and clean, with bold colors, outstanding centering (there is a slight tilt to the image, which is common to this card), and light, even wear to the four corners. Frequently overshadowed by the #311 Mantle from the same set (which is also a high-number series card and also double-printed), #312 Robinson is one of the few cards that defines the 1952 Topps set for collectors. Robinson is also one of the few Hall of Famers found in the 1952 Topps high-number series. This is an extremely strong example that would be very much at home in any 1952 Topps set, Jackie Robinson, or classic-card collection. Reserve $200. Estimate $500+. SOLD FOR $960
