1952 Topps Near-Complete Low-Number Run (#1-310) - 293 of 310 Cards!

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $3,000

41% Vg-Ex, 48% Vg, and 11% lesser. Near-complete low-number run (#1-310) consisting of 293 different cards from the classic 1952 Topps series. Missing just seventeen cards for completion of the low-number series: #12, 22 DiMaggio, 37 Snider, 48 Page, 175 Martin RC, 191 Berra, 261 Mays, 268 Lemon, 274, 275, 277 Wynn, 284, 285, 288, 289, 293, and 296. Includes forty black backs. Keys: #1 Pafko (SGC EX 60, black back), 2 Runnels RC (Vg, black back), 11 Rizzuto (Vg), 20 Loes RC (Vg, black back), 26 Irvin (Fr), 29 Kluszewski (Vg, black back), 33 Spahn (Fr), 36 Hodges (Fr), 59 Roberts (Vg, black back), 65 Slaughter (Gd), 88 Feller (Vg), 91 Schoendienst (Vg), 99 Woodling (Vg+), 122 Jensen (Vg-Ex), 129 Mize (Vg+), 195 Minoso RC (Vg-Ex), 216 Ashburn (miscut, otherwise Vg), 243 Doby (Vg-Ex), 246 Kell (Vg), and 250 Erskine (Vg-Ex). This is a very attractive near-complete low-number run of 1952 Topps, one of card collecting’s most popular classics, in a very desirable and relatively affordable grade (compared to the much more costly higher-grade 1952 Topps cards) and representing a very substantial start toward a complete set. The equivalent SMR value just for key card #1 Andy Pafko (SGC EX 60) alone is $625. Total: 293 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000. SOLD FOR $3,000
