Exceptional high-grade complete set of the 1941 Play Ball series issued by Gum, Inc., one of card collecting's all-time classic gum issues, highlighted by what are among the most desirable cards of many of the era’s key stars, including Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams, and Pee Wee Reese. All 72 cards in the set have been professionally graded and encapsulated by SGC. This set ranks number one all-time on the SGC Card Registry with an an extremely impressive overall GPA of 85.06. The weighted average of this set exceeds Near Mint overall, with two NM/MT+ 92s, twenty NM/MT 88s, ten NM+ 86s, thirty NM 84s, and ten EX/NM 80s. Twenty of the cards are the highest-graded examples on record with SGC.
