1936 R322 Goudey Complete Set (25)

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $600

Presented is a complete 25-card set of 1936 R322 Goudey. This unusual Goudey set is one of the most overlooked of all 1933-1941 gum-card issues, in part because the set does not include Ruth or Gehrig. Because of this, the 1936 Goudey set is also one of the most reasonably priced scarce sets of the era. Each card features a black-and-white image of a player. The reverse features a bio of the player and two terms related to the game of baseball (foul, strike, out, etc.). Condition is five cards Vg-Ex and twenty cards Pr to Vg (averaging Gd). A very consistent and seldom-offered complete set of this classic 1930s Goudey issue. Keys: Cochrane (Vg-Ex), Crosetti (Vg), Cuyler (Gd), Ferrell (Fr), Gomez (Pr), Greenberg (Vg), Harris (Pr), Klein (Vg), Martin (Gd/Vg), and Waner (Vg). 1936 Goudeys are rarely offered in set form. Total: 25 cards. Reserve $200. Estimate $400+. SOLD FOR $600
