1909-1911 T206 White Border Bill Dahlen - Brooklyn

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $1,320

Graded VG-EX+ 4.5 by PSA. Extremely strong example of Bill Dahlen (Brooklyn variation) from the classic T206 White Border set. Dahlen was a significant star for twenty-one Major League seasons, and is one of the few players in the T206 set not in the Hall of Fame who has always widely been considered worthy of that honor. In addition, since the days of Jefferson Burdick and before, the Dahlen, Brooklyn team-designation variation, has always been recognized as one of the important rarities of the T206 set. The offered example is bright and crisp, with flawless registration, near-perfect centering, and four strong corners showing light wear. The back is also bright and clean, with bold blue advertising print for Piedmont Cigarettes. In addition to being an important card in the T206 set, this card is also especially appreciated for its strong visual appeal. This is an outstanding example of this T206 rarity, worthy of any extremely high quality complete set or prewar-card collection. Reserve $200. Estimate $400+. SOLD FOR $1,320
