1909-1911 T206 White Border SGC-Graded Collection (18) - All Sovereign Backs!

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $960

Presented is a collection of eighteen different cards from the classic T206 White Border series, comprised exclusively of cards featuring a desirable Sovereign advertising reverse. Each card is graded and encapsulated by SGC (all submitted by REA). Sovereign is a very scarce back, not in the same league as Drum or Uzit, but very unusual and seen far less often than the standard Piedmont or Sweet Caporal advertising backs. This collection consists of the following: Ames/hands above head (VG 40, 350 series), Ball (EX 60, 150 series), Bescher/portrait (EX 60, 350 series), Carr (GOOD+ 35, 350 series), Conroy/with bat (FAIR 20, 350 series), Doolan/batting (GOOD 30, 350 series), Elberfeld/NY (VG+ 45, 350 series), Ferris (VG 40, 350 series), Hahn (VG/EX 50, 150 series), Krause/portrait (FAIR 20, 350 series), Lindaman (FAIR 20, 150 series), Mullin/with bat (VG+ 45, 350 series), Murphy/batting (GOOD+ 35, 350 series), Nicholls/hands on knees (GOOD 30, 350 series), O'Brien (VG 40, 350 series), Schlei/portrait (FAIR 20, 460 series), Sheckard/no glove showing (VG+ 45, 350 series), and Smith/white cap (VG/EX+ 55, 350 series). This is a very attractive collection of T206 Sovereign backs, with crisp images and bold colors. Almost all of the important Sovereign backs are clean and boldly printed. A small but desirable collection of cards featuring this unusual advertising reverse. Total: 18 cards. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$600. SOLD FOR $960
