1909-1911 T206 White Border SGC-Graded Southern Leaguers Collection (6)

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $840

Collection of six different scarce T206 Southern Leaguers, each graded and encapsulated by SGC. Each card in this collection is extremely attractive, presenting as Excellent or better from the front, but downgraded due to faint traces of adhesive residue on the reverse. It is very likely that these cards were carefully removed from an album at some point in time, which would account for their tremendous preservation as well as the minor faint reverse adhesive traces responsible for their modest assigned grades. This collection consists of the following: Bernhard - Nashville (GOOD 30), Lipe - Richmond (GOOD+ 35), Molesworth - Birmingham (GOOD 30), Paige - Charleston (GOOD+ 35), Shaughnessy - Roanoke (GOOD+ 35), and Thornton - Mobile (GOOD+ 35). All six cards feature an Old Mill reverse. The Southern Leaguers have always been appreciated for their scarcity and as a popular subset to the T206 series. Collectors find it particularly challenging to assemble a complete set. This is a very impressive looking group. The scarcity of the Southern Leaguers has always made putting together a complete T206 set all the more difficult, and this collection represents a particularly attractive and affordable sampling from this popular T206 subset. Total: 6 cards. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$600. SOLD FOR $840
