1909-1911 T206 White Border Jack Powell: Interesting Printing Miscut Error!
Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $1,560
Extremely unusual T206 card of St. Louis Browns pitcher Jack Powell featuring a fascinating factory printing error. Because this is one of the few horizontal cards in the entire T206 set, the nameplate (Powell, St. Louis Amer) would normally appear to the left of the image when held horizontally as intended. In this case, however, the factory printing error has resulted in the entire nameplate, along with a small portion of the image area of another Powell card, appearing to the right of the image. Graded FAIR 20 by SGC due to the miscut and visible creasing. While this is not the most extreme factory miscut we have ever offered, it is certainly among the most unique and intriguing! When it comes to the T206 set, anything unusual (especially if it might in any way shed light on the mysteries of how the T206 set was printed) is of great note. This is a rare and unusual printing anomaly that can easily be appreciated at a glance. Reserve $200. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $1,560
