Graded NM/MT+ 92 by SGC. This is the ONLY example graded at this level with none higher by SGC out of more than 300 cards evaluated to date! Extraordinary ultra high-grade T206 example of Pittsburgh Pirates Hall of Fame outfielder Fred Clarke in an ideal portrait pose. This is a stunning card! Bright, crisp, and fresh, with four sharp corners, a bold red background, near-perfect registration, and outstanding centering. Perfectly centered Piedmont 150 advertisement with crisp, bold blue printing on the reverse. It is rare to find any T206 in such outstanding NM/MT+ condition, let alone a spectacular high-grade example of Fred Clarke, one of the key Hall of Famers within the legendary T206 White Border set. This is a tremendous example, worthy of any world-class Hall of Fame, T206, or prewar-card collection! The equivalent SMR value in NM-MT 8 (no SMR values exist for NM-MT+ 8.5 or MINT 9) is $5,250.
