Presented is a collection of fifteen cards (thirteen different plus two duplicates) from the classic T206 White Border series comprised exclusively of Hall of Famers. Each card is graded and encapsulated by SGC. All cards have Piedmont or Sweet Caporal advertising reverses (unless otherwise noted). This collection consists of the following: Two Beckley (VG 40 and POOR 10, American Beauty 350), Bender/portrait (VG 40), E. Collins (GOOD 30), J. Collins (GOOD 30, El Principe de Gales), Evers/with bat Cubs shirt (POOR 10), Griffith/portrait (VG+ 45), two Lajoie/portrait (GOOD 30 and POOR 10, Hindu), Lajoie/throwing (Authentic, Hindu), Marquard/portrait (GOOD 30, backwards comma variation), McGinnity (GOOD 30, Tolstoi), McGraw/portrait no cap (VG 40), Joss/portrait (Authentic), and Willis/throwing (FAIR 20, Tolstoi). The total SMR value for just thirteen cards (factoring in the two half-grades at the lower whole-grade level and excluding the two cards graded Authentic) is $1,165. No premium has been assigned for the tougher advertising backs included in this collection. Total: 15 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000+. SOLD FOR $1,680
